Our History
In 2012 we were sat in a rundown pub supping a well needed pint having spent the day researching pubs for sale in the local area of Surrey. We were on the hunt for a new venture, it was then we were informed The Four Horseshoes was going up for sale.
A few phone calls & meetings later & the paperwork was signed. A £250k refit over 9 weeks of the rundown pub commenced. Finally, we opened mid-July 2013.
Within the first year, we won the ‘Surrey Life Pub Of The Year’ and we were a national finalist in the Heineken Pub of The Year Awards.
Eleven years on & the pub still feels like when we opened in 2013. Whilst the menu has evolved & a few faces have changed over the years we still retain our core values of great fresh food in traditional, comfortable surroundings with friendly, informal service. A traditional pub at heart.
2024 with the support of our guests we will continue to develop our offering. We will always strive to offer a superior experience in the local area, not exclusive, but inclusive, a pub for everyone. Surrey diners have a fantastic choice of good quality pubs & restaurants, our goal is to be one of the best.
